オレンジワインと聞いて「オレンジで造ったフルーツワイン？？」という質問を受けることがありますが、オレンジワインとは、白ブドウを使って赤ワインの醸造方法で造ったオレンジ色のワインのことです。ジョージア発祥のこのワインの歴史は古く、自然派ワインを好む人からも注目されているトレンドワインとなっています。

サザンクロスで取り扱っているオレンジワインは3種類。

ラブブロックの「ティーソーヴィニヨンブラン」はソーヴィニヨンブランで造られた珍しい1本。
亜硫酸の代わりに「TEE」＝自然由来の緑茶のカテキンを代用することで生まれる色調・香り・味わいが特徴的です。
グリーンソングスの「アンバーピノグリ」はピノグリを20日間スキンコンタクトした、果実感を抑えた香りで、口に含むと上品なキャラメル感が特徴的なオレンジワインです。
